TATTOO STUDIO

All about the artist....

Voodoo Ink, is a quaint shop, in a small but bustling shopping complex, situated in Centurion, in Pretoria.  Shop Owner, and head tattoo artist, DANNY ROODT.

Background and a bit of other info

Danny, owner and head tattoo artist of Voodoo Ink SA, he has a reserved demeanour and a well - trained eye for the art in which he specializes - the art of tattooing. He has an eye for composition, is well trained in drawing, and can therefore sketch amazing customized designs for his clients. His specialty surely lies in portraits and the use of colour in his work, using contrasting colours with each other, and making good use of positive and negative space, incorporating the skin as part of the design, together with the contours of the body. He is a great teacher, and from his studio, under his guidance and thorough training have emerged some of South Africa's most talented artists. He has won numerous trophy;s at tattoo conventions, has been asked to be a judge at the 2015 Cool Inc Jhb Tattoo Expo, and even participated in several suspension shows held at the Cool Inc Jhb Tattoo Expo. Danny was one of the fortunate participants in a "world record" suspension show, lovingly referred to as the "Human Chandelier" so he is indeed very familiar with pain.
